FAQ's
Digital Art Downloads
What exactly is a digital art download?
It's a high resolution image file that you download instantly after purchase and then print yourself — at home, or through a print shop or online printing service. Nothing is posted to you. You simply download, print and frame to suit your space. It’s fast, sustainable, and gives you complete freedom over size, framing, and materials.
What files will I receive?
You'll receive multiple aspect ratios at 300dpi resolution and 64 megapixel for maximum flexibility. This means you can print everything from a small bedside table print right up to a large statement piece — all at full professional quality.
Where can I get my file printed?
If you're not printing it yourself at home I always recommend using a local print shop, not only to support your local businesses, but because they can help you choose the right paper, finish, size, mat and frame to create the perfect custom artwork for your space. Alternatively, there are a large choice of online printing services such as Printed.com, Vista Print, Snapfish and Photobox to name just a few.
Can I use the files to make gifts?
Absolutely — personalised gifts are one of the loveliest things you can do with a digital file. Print-on-demand services let you create jigsaws, cushions, tote bags, mugs, greetings cards, notebooks and much more. As long as it's for personal use or gifting, you're very welcome to get creative with it.
Can I share the files with someone else?
The files are licensed for personal use only, so they can't be shared, passed on or used commercially. You're welcome to gift a printed version of the artwork though — just not the file itself. If you're ever unsure, drop me a message and I'll happily clarify.
(Note for Interior Designers: I am happy for you to purchase the file on behalf a client which you can then print for them with your preferred printing partner. If you wish to use the same image in a different project, please purchase the file again for that specific client, thank you.)
Can I print the same file more than once?
Yes — once you've purchased it, the file is yours to keep and reprint as many times as you need for personal use. If you move house, want the same image in a different room, or your print gets damaged, just print it again.
Can I get a refund on digital downloads?
Due to the nature of digital products, refunds or exchanges aren’t possible once the files have been downloaded.
If there’s a technical issue or something doesn’t look right, please contact me — I’m always happy to help.
Why do I have to checkout on Etsy?
Digital products like these require VAT to be charged in the UK and EU. As a small business I am not currently VAT registered, so by using my Etsy shop, VAT and taxes are taken care of wherever you are. This also allows me to sell these globally.
How do I receive my digital download?
Once your payment is complete, Etsy will provide an instant download link to a Google drive where your files are stored. You can then download these to your device.
You can access your files via your Etsy account under Purchases & Reviews or the download link sent to your email by Etsy
If you have any trouble accessing your files, feel free to message me.
Prints
What is giclée printing, and how is it different from regular prints?
Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a French term for high-resolution prints made using professional inkjet printers with pigment-based inks, rather than the dye-based inks used in standard home or commercial printing. The process allows for a much wider colour range, finer detail, and far greater longevity than typical prints. Each giclée print is produced individually, ensuring exceptional quality and colour accuracy true to the original artwork.
What makes these prints premium?
Only museum quality paper and canvas are used with superior archival inks which ensures longevity and excellent reproduction of colours and details. Frames are made by skilled artisans using solid wood.
Are the prints framed?
Canvas prints are offered unframed or with a choice of frames. Fine art paper prints are currently sold unframed, however I may be able to accommodate certain custom requests with these. The mock up pictures in the listing are there to give you an idea of what they could look like framed in your space.
How do I hang my canvas print?
All my canvas prints come ready to hang with a pre-installed hanging system. You just need a simple nail or screw to place it on your wall.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes! If you need a custom size or a special request, please message me, and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
Where do you ship to?
Currently these prints are available for purchase and delivery within the UK, US, Canada and Australia. Your artwork will be carefully produced and shipped from the nearest fine art printing facility to ensure faster delivery and safer transit. It also helps avoid any customs fees.
When will my artwork arrive?
All prints are made to order so please allow
5-7 business days for unframed prints to arrive
7-14 business days for framed prints to arrive
When your artwork is out for delivery you will receive an email with tracking information and an estimated delivery date.
What if my artwork arrives damaged?
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact me immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that I can evaluate and rectify the issue. If your item arrives damaged please contact me with clear photos of the issue so that I can arrange a free replacement or full refund if you prefer.
